Originally executed in 2010, this is a recreation of an enlarged, electric Advent wreath. The candle forms resemble Moravian beeswax candles wrapped in red crepe.
As the Advent season leading to Christmas progresses, the candles are "lit" in succession. By Christmas Eve, all four surrounding candles become extinguished (fully resembling melted, freshly blown out candles) and the center illuminates.
Seasonally installed on the first Sunday of Advent until January 6th at Konnoak Hills Moravian Church, Winston-Salem, NC
